Headmaster's Message

Message From The Headmaster

As we come to the end of the second week back, I’d like to reiterate my thanks to parents for all your support. We are delighted with the way the school is running and that good routines have been quickly established. It is always exhausting for staff and pupils at the start of the academic year, this year more than ever. We are looking at what we can do to ensure we don’t 'burn out' too soon and keep the excellent momentum going over the term and year ahead. We are reviewing the organisation of every aspect of the school so we can be as effective and efficient as possible.

In light of the above, we will shortly be giving further details of changes we will be making to our reporting and procedures for parents’ evenings and meetings. We want to ensure these are manageable for staff and parents and as productive as possible given the restrictions we have to work within.

Many thanks for all parents’ patience when visiting the school to drop-off or pick up. We think the systems we have are working well and will be looking to remove parking on the grass in the near future.

Finally, whilst we are, of course, having to prepare for the eventuality that we have a confirmed COVID case or multiple cases within the school community, we must all be united in doing everything to prevent this from happening. As parents, please do continue to do regular temperature checks at home and critically ensure that your families are being safe in your social lives. The new law on the 'rule of six' is very clear and we need every family to ensure this is being strictly adhered to. If any parent has concerns about this, please contact us.

With all best wishes for the weekend,

Ed Hester
