Confirmation Programme 2021 Update - Reminder

We have made changes to the Confirmation Programme so that pupils will now be prepared in their year group bubble.

We will not be able to celebrate Mass on Tuesday 13 October but the preparation sessions will go ahead as planned.

The Bishop has changed the provisional date for the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation to Friday 12 March 2021 at 7.00pm in the College Chapel.

The preparation sessions take place over lunch breaks.

Each 20-minute session will be offered twice in order to avoid clashes with other activities and times will be allocated to the different year groups.

Detentions

As you are aware, pupils are in year group bubbles due to Covid-19. We will therefore be managing our detention system in a different way.  All detentions will be held daily after school in G81 (6F Lecture Theatre - just by Prep) on the following days:-

Year 7 Monday
Year 8 Tuesday
Year 9 Wednesday
Year 10 Thursday
Year 11 Friday

Detentions will be set if a pupil receives three LLCs (which includes late to lessons, uniform and mobile phone violations).

Three after school detentions equals a Saturday morning detention.  Parents will be notified in advance if their child is expected to attend an after school detention via an isams email message.

Please can we take this opportunity to ask parents to remind their children of the importance of good conduct and organisation in school.  Pupils failing to comply with the Princethorpe College Code of Conduct may put themselves and others as risk of harm.
