Lower Sixth Form Induction Day
Friday 30 August 2018, 8.30am - 3.20pm
Lower Sixth Form induction day will take place on Friday 30 August and all Lower Sixth are expected to attend.
Students and staff gather in the Sixth Form Atrium at 8.30am for tea or coffee and the day will continue with introductions by staff and presentations by Sixth Form Prefects.
Our new Lower Sixth will get to know their tutor, who will play such an important role over the coming months. Students will have talks on independent learning and time management, complete assessments and receive their timetables. There will be the opportunity to discuss option choices with me. A lunch will be provided in the Sixth Form Refectory.
We are looking forward to participating in games and group activities too, designed to help our tutor groups bond and to make our new Lower Sixth feel very welcome.
The afternoon finishes at 3.20pm and at 3.30pm there will be tea and cake in the Sixth Form Atrium for students new to Princethorpe and their parents, providing the opportunity to discuss any queries which may have arisen.
Please be aware that my team and I will be in school on GCSE results day, Thursday 22 August, Friday 23 August and the week following, should you wish to discuss your GCSE results and A-level option choices.
Dress code for the day is casual.
