Job Vacancy – Electrician

Reporting to the Foundation Estates Manager, we are seeking to appoint an Electrician to maintain and service all electrical engineering plant and equipment at Princethorpe College, Crackley Hall and Crescent School sites. They will carry out technical duties in the College Theatre and assist in the supervision of electrical contractors. A flexible and pro-active attitude to duties and additional working hours will be required.

The successful candidate should have an appreciation of the priorities of a school environment and have the ability to appropriately interact with pupils of all ages, especially when providing technical support in the Theatre.

This role is working 40 hours a week, on a 7 days’ contract. The working pattern will include evenings and occasional weekends on a flexible basis, according to the needs of the school, with core hours Monday to Friday.

The salary for this role is £25,000 to £32,000 (full-time equivalent) – depending on experience.

Job Vacancy - Estates Assistants - Casual, Various Shifts Available

Ideally starting in late November 2018, we are recruiting Estates Assistants to work as part of the Estates team, providing support services to all of the Foundation schools - Princethorpe College, Crescent School in Rugby and Crackley Hall School in Kenilworth.

The duties will primarily involve maintenance work internally and externally, security, traffic management, porterage and some cleaning. Applicants with some carpentry, plumbing or decorating skills would be most welcome. This is a ‘hands-on’ role facilitating the proper functioning of the schools to ensure a safe and satisfactory working, learning and recreational environment.

The successful applicant will need to be able to provide a high quality service to staff, pupils and visitors and be enthusiastic as well as honest, trustworthy and reliable, able to lift and to work on his/her own as well as part of a team.

Working hours: We have a variety of shifts available, from as little as two hours and up to eight hours, in the afternoons and evenings or on Saturday and Sundays.  We would be happy to consider applications for working evenings and weekends only or with other shifts on a rota basis.

Lauren Prydderch - Receptionist\Administrator

The Administration Team welcomes Lauren as their new Administrator\Receptionist, who has recently moved back to the area after living in Leeds for 12 years. Lauren is a graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University, with a degree in Entertainment Management and has spent the last nine years working in Arts Education for organisations such as Opera North, Phoenix Dance Theatre and most recently Northern Ballet. Lauren lives in Daventry, her home town, with her husband and is looking forward to meeting everyone and welcoming visitors in Reception. 

Alice Hutton - Foundation Marketing And Communications Co-ordinator

The Foundation Marketing Department welcomes Alice Hutton as their new Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator.  An Events Management graduate from Sheffield Hallam University, Alice formerly worked at Pug Pubs as their Brand Marketing Manager and also worked with BID Leamington, organising large scale events such as the Leamington Food and Drink Festival.  Alice has two siblings in the Foundation, one at Princethorpe College and one at Crackley Hall School, who she loves spending time with.  In her spare time, Alice also enjoys attempting DIY projects, attending concerts, making people laugh and exploring the beautiful Warwickshire countryside.

Elliot Perkins - IT Apprentice

The IT department welcomes Elliot as their new IT Apprentice. Elliot recently finished his A-Levels at Trinity Catholic School in Leamington Spa and has now commenced his studies as an IT Infrastructure Technician at Royal Leamington Spa College whilst working here at Princethorpe College for the duration of his Apprenticeship.  Elliot has completed work experience at Our Lady Saint Theresa and Telford Junior Schools as a Teaching Assistant and is looking forrward to being in a school environment once again.

School Shop Opening Hours - Reminder

The school shop is open for pupils during both break and lunch time, every school day. For parents wishing to visit the school shop, this can be done without an appointment between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, every school day.

Your Views Sought On The College Bus Service

As part of a review of the College's Bus Service, parents and pupils views on the bus service are being sought.

Comments, Eddie Tolcher, Foundation Bursar, "We are interested in hearing from both regular and occasional bus users and non-bus users. Your feedback will help us shape and improve the service for September 2019 and possibly before, so we would encourage all parents to take part."

Bus Travel Passes And Single Journey Tickets - Reminder

We offer bus passes in several different options to allow pupils the most flexible options for travel to and from school.

All information with regards to routes, booking forms and associated costs can be found in the Information Booklet for Parents and Pupils or on the Princethorpe website under 'Getting to School' 

If you wish to apply for a bus pass then please complete the travel questionnaire which can be found via the above link and return to Mrs Barbara Bromwich via email at buses@princethorpe.co.uk or post to Mrs Bromwich at Princethorpe College.

Bus passes should be shown for every journey, failure to produce a pass on five occasions will lead to a replacement pass being automatically issued at a cost of £5, which will be added to the school fee account.

If your preference is to purchase bus tickets (which must be purchased in advance of travel) then these can be purchased from the School Shop. Please contact Nicola Browne on either 01926 634272 or via email at nicolabrowne@princethorpe.co.uk to order tickets for collection by pupils during the school day.

For ease, tickets of 10 or more can be added to the school fee account.

An additional charge for travelling without a ticket will be applied as follows:
