Chaplaincy End Of Term Prayer For Students

Fr Alan Whelan MSC and Mrs Mary Benham, our wonderful Chaplaincy Team, share this End of Term Prayer for Students with us:

Gracious God, as we come to the end of the academic year we give thanks:

for the teaching and learning that has taken place both in and outside of the classroom;

for the gifts and talents that have been shared and the challenges that have been faced and overcome.

for the burdens lifted and the hurts that have been healed;

for the strength and courage to do what is right and for the care shown to us by others;

for the friendships made and strengthened;

for overcoming the daily struggles of life and for the days when a kind word lifted our spirits;

for the love of family and friends;

for the teachers who have accompanied us on our educational journey;

for the staff unknown to us who prepare our food, clean our classrooms and work on tasks unknown to us and unseen;

for staff who give of their time to run out of school activities;

for the holidays to be enjoyed over the coming weeks, keep us safe in our activities;

for our students awaiting the results of their GCSE and A Level exams;

for the students who are leaving us to go on to university, further studies or apprenticeships;

for the cherished memories of the past year.

May we return in September renewed and refreshed from our holidays, keen and eager to learn, to give of our best and to be kind to one another.  We make our prayer through Christ Our Lord.

Amen
