Malawi 2020
Building on more than ten years of fundraising for Mary’s Meals, we have decided to step out and visit the African country where Mary’s Meals first began. Malawi, known as the warm heart of Africa is a landlocked country in south-eastern Africa. The Great Rift Valley runs through the country from north to south, and to the east of the valley lies Lake Malawi. The trip will be open to all pupils currently in Years 10, 11 and Lower Sixth and numbers will be capped at 30 pupils. Lower Sixth pupils have already learnt about the trip and Year 10 and 11 pupils will receive some initial information during House assemblies in the week beginning Monday 8 October.
To find out more, please come to our parent and pupils’ information evening which will run from 7.00pm – 8.30pm on Thursday 18 October 2018, in the 6FLT. Full details about the trip will be given then, and we are delighted that Dominic Webb, Managing Director of Orbis Expeditions and Andrew Vincent, a trustee of Classrooms from Malawi will be joining us. Please email rodisaacs@princethorpe.co.uk to confirm you would like to attend.
