Bad Weather Procedure – Princethorpe College
In light of the recent inclement weather predictions for the region this weekend, we wanted to remind parents of the College’s Bad Weather procedure.
The general overarching principle is that the College will be open unless otherwise notified. We are well-equipped at Princethorpe to deal with snow, with a plough and gritter on site, and our bus services are as equally well-prepared to maintain services as normal.
As heavy snowfall is expected on Sunday, we will monitor the situation over the course of the day and provide an update on the school website late Sunday afternoon.
Communicating with parents
Information to parents would be notified through the following means:
- iSAMS: parents will receive a message on their mobile phone. This is the easiest and most direct method to inform parents of any changes to the normal routine.
- Information will be put on the school website.
- Local radio stations (Heart FM/Free Radio/BBC Coventry and Warwickshire) will be notified.
- If possible the school’s answerphone message will be updated to reflect the situation.
- It is recommended bus users should follow @PCBuses on Twitter as this account will be used to notify Princethorpe bus users about important route information or changes to services.
