Science Matters Talk - Chemistry Of The Human Body Reminder

Monday 25 September - 7.00pm

What a piece of work is a man

There are 92 naturally occurring elements in the Periodic Table but how many of them would you need to make a human? The chemical formula for a human has some surprising inclusions and the recipe to make a fully functioning person is carefully balanced. The next science Matters talk looks at some interesting facts about the elements that make us what we are.

The talk is to be given by Dr Kathryn Harkup who has become a regular and very popular contributor to Science Matters events.

You can hear all about the ‘Chemistry of the human body’ on Monday 25 September at 7.00pm in the Sixth Form Lecture Theatre. There will be refreshments and a chance to talk with the Kathryn Harkup after the talk.

All parents and pupils are welcome. This is a free event but to help us cater efficiently please reserve places with Lisa Gardner by clicking here no later than Wednesday 20 September.
