Police Cadet Recruitment 2021

Warwickshire Police Cadets is a volunteer scheme for young people who wish to be part of a one year programme that offers an opportunity to gain a practical understanding of policing and develop a spirit of adventure and good citizenship.

Recruitment is open from 1 January to 28 February 2021 and an application form can be downloaded here.

To become a Warwickshire Police Cadet you must live or go to school in Warwickshire, and be aged 13 to 16 years on 1 September 2021.

Cadets support local policing priorities through volunteering, working with partner agencies and through positive participation in their communities.

They take part in a variety of activities including self-defence training, law inputs, marching, fitness, team building, role playing and outdoor events.

Cadets gain further insight into police life through talks by guest speakers from different departments and agencies, and by taking part in local community policing events.

Work Experience

As you may know, we tried to launch the work experience programme for Year 10 last academic year, although for most pupils this became impossible as a result of the COVID situation. However a small number of pupils did manage to undertake a placement.

We are hoping that, if circumstances allow, work experience could take place after the GCSE exams this year, as it traditionally has done.

If you are able to find a placement for your son or daughter, this would be an invaluable asset when considering future careers and UCAS applications.

If you can find a placement, or have done so already, please could you contact me on miketaylor@princethorpe.co.uk. I shall be posting our standard forms in the New Year.

Many thanks for your continued support, and best wishes for 2021.
