Sixth Form Update - Michaelmas Term

As the Head of Sixth Form, it is with immense pride that I share with you the exceptional dedication and enthusiasm our Sixth form students have shown over the past couple of months when participating in numerous community events. Their commitment not only reflects their personal growth but also underscores the values we strive to instil within our school community.

Lower Sixth Trip - Friday 4 October 2024

The Lower Sixth Trip was an exciting and exhilarating weekend that offered our students the opportunity to bond and develop essential life skills. The trip included various team-building exercises and outdoor adventures that challenged and motivated our students to work together and support one another.

Grangers - Tuesday 8 October 2024

A number of our students participated in Grangers, an event aimed at fostering community spirit through volunteer work. The students' contributions to the event this week were greatly appreciated and demonstrated their commitment to making a positive impact. The feedback we received after was full of thanks and praise to all those involved in making it a wonderful evening.

World Porridge Day - Thursday 10 October 2024

This was a particularly eventful day, with our students engaging in both Welly Wanging and World Porridge Day activities. Welly Wanging, a fun and competitive event, brought out the best in our students as they enjoyed a lunchtime full of friendly rivalry and laughter. They also joined in the global celebration of World Porridge Day, raising awareness and funds for a good cause while enjoying delicious porridge together.

Building Stronger Communities

The involvement of our Sixth formers in community events has had a ripple effect, fostering stronger connections between our school and the wider community. Their actions have not only benefited the recipients of their efforts but have also helped to build a sense of unity and shared purpose within our student body. It is heartening to see them understand that they are part of something larger than themselves.

Sixth Form Open Evening - Wednesday 16 October 2024 - 6.30pm to 9.00pm

Our Sixth Form Open Evening is a significant event for prospective students and their families. It provides an insight into the academic and extracurricular opportunities available. Current students and staff will be on hand to assist visitors, answer questions and share their experiences.

Lower Sixth Social - Friday 18 October 2024 - 7.00pm to 10.00pm

We believe that a strong sense of community is vital for our students' well-being and success. The Lower Sixth Social event is designed to foster this sense of community as students get to enjoy an evening of fun activities, entertainment and the chance to unwind and socialize in a relaxed environment. It is also a great way to build friendships and integrate into the Sixth form community.

Pink Day - Friday 18 October 2024

On Pink Day, students and staff are encouraged to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness. It's a powerful way for our school community to show solidarity and raise awareness for an important cause.

Upper Sixth Mock Exams - from Monday 18 November 2024

As we move towards the end of term, our Upper Sixth students will be preparing for their mock exams. This period is crucial for our students as they assess their understanding and readiness for their final exams. We encourage all parents to support their children during this time, ensuring they have a balanced routine that includes study, rest, and relaxation.

Prize Giving at Warwick Arts Centre - Friday 22 November 2024

Following the mock exams, we are eagerly anticipating our Prize Giving ceremony at Warwick Arts Centre. This prestigious event will be an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students.
