Reminder To Parents

A warm welcome back to school after the summer break, I hope you have had an enjoyable time.

Can I please remind parents to read and fully appraise themselves of the information in the Information Booklet for Parents and Pupils that was emailed out to you in readiness for the start of the new school year. A copy can also be found here under Parents' Documentation - 2024-2025 Key Documents.

Thank you for your continued support.

Prayer For The New Academic Year 2024

Loving God, the end of the summer holidays is fast approaching. With thanks for the weeks of rest and relaxation, of new adventures and fun times with family and friends. Now is the time to look ahead to the new academic year. A year of new horizons and challenges. A year of opportunities to meet new friends and teachers. A year of applying the best of my abilities to all areas of my life. A year to learn from the past and apply the lessons for the future.

Loving God, I give thanks for my creativity and uniqueness. May I use my many gifts and talents not only for my own benefit but that of others.

Loving God, be with me throughout the course of the school day, delving deeper in seeking out knowledge and understanding and engaging with others in the classroom and on the sports field.

Loving God, I especially ask to feel your presence in times of frustration when things are not going my way. May I see a learning opportunity to do better in what I first interpret as a lack of success.  Give me the resilience to try again and give of my best.

Loving God, may the hard work I do over the coming term give me a sense of achievement  and accomplishment.

Loving God, may I be thankful to parents, guardians, family and friends who love and care for me and may I appreciate the hard work of all the staff of the College who care and encourage me in my learning.

Amen

Informing The College Of Pupil Absence

Please be aware our procedure of reporting a pupil absence has changed for the new term to make it easier for parents to report. Parents must inform the school via the online absence form on My School Portal if they know their child will not be in school for either the whole day or any part thereof. For unplanned absence, parents must complete the Absence Form. This can be found on the dashboard or in the My Children section of My School Portal.

If a pupil has a pre-planned appointment e.g. medical, please inform the school in advance on the Requesting Student Absence: Planned Form, which can be found within the My Children section of My School Portal. This can then be pre-coded on our attendance system. Having alerted the school for any reason of absence it is not necessary to follow up the absence with a written note.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
