UCAS Replying To Offers Deadline

We are delighted with the wide range of university offers that our Upper Sixth students have so far received this year. The deadlines for replying to these offers are fast approaching and students should login to UCAS.com to ensure that they know their own deadline.

For everyone who receives all of their university decisions by 18 May 2023, they must reply to any offers by 8 June 2023. Failing to reply to offers in time will result in these offers being automatically declined by UCAS.

What Jobs Do Graduates Get These Days?

High Fliers Research Ltd have produced a fantastic 90 minute programme on the latest research on today’s graduate job market, the universities and degree courses that lead to successful graduate employment, and what employers offer to new graduates. In the programme, there are presentations from special guests Robert Halfon, Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education and Zoe Thomas, author of The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide. There are also:

  • interviews with recent graduates and degree apprentices from Dyson, the Royal Navy, Rolls-Royce and accounting and professional services firms PwC and BDO, sharing their experiences of getting from Sixth Form into the working world
  • an introduction to degree apprenticeships, the alternative route they can provide to the graduate job market, and a showcase of employers offering degree apprenticeships to Sixth Form school-leavers
  • expert advice and guidance from senior recruiters at Lloyds Banking Group, the NHS, investment bank Deutsche, law firm Slaughter and May, and AWE the nuclear defence company – on making the most of university or a degree apprenticeship, and getting ready for the graduate job market

The programme is being presented by Martin Birchall, research director for the Department for Education’s Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Levi Jouavel, a presenter on BBC Three and former BBC apprentice.

This is the YouTube link you will need to watch the programme but it is only available until the end of May:

The programme is very well put together and tackles some of the assumptions about how to get into the different job areas.
