Chaplaincy End Of Year Prayer

Fr Alan Whelan MSC and Mrs Mary Benham, our wonderful Chaplaincy Team, share this End of Term Prayer:

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas Day, we remember the year past: the joys with family and friends; the excitement of learning new things; the frustrations of tasks not yet completed;
the sadness and pain of losing a loved one; the worry of the rising costs of almost everything and the deep appreciation of receiving love and kindness from others. May the Prince of Peace reign in our words and hearts.

As the new year begins and Christmas trees are taken down and we return to our familiar schedules we pray that our minds may be focused on: our broken planet; refugees and the homeless; those who have to use food banks and those who have no one to pray for them.  God of love, God peace, God of hope and joy be with us throughout the year ahead.

Amen

School Uniform

It is important that all pupils wear the correct uniform to school, which should fit the pupil properly too.  Information regarding the College's correct uniform can be found in pupils' homework diaries and in the Information Booklet for Parents. In particular, please can you check your child has the correct footwear - Air Force 1 trainers are not permitted in school.

Please could you ensure that your child comes to school wearing the correct uniform and games kit when they return next term. Thank you for your continued support with this matter.

On behalf of the Pastoral Team we wish you all a very Happy Christmas.

Twelve Days Of Christmas Reading

The Christmas break is upon us, and it may be time to think about catching up on some reading. Relax, read and recharge over the break. Click here for a link to a collection of twelve recommended titles that will inspire, entertain and enthral as they appeal to pupils and adults of all ages.

Mostly published within the last few months, they are an opportunity to sample new authors, stories and genres. Happy Reading!

Holidays In Term Time - Reminder

Please can I take this opportunity to ask parents, over the holidays, to remind themselves of the school term dates which can be found here.

Parents are strongly discouraged from taking family holidays during term-time. Where prior approval is sought, the Head may consider holiday absence. Parents are requested to apply in writing for permission to remove children from school for holidays at least one month in advance of any potential trip to the Head.
