The Flagpole

Our Review of the College Bus Services continues to make good progress. We have recently received the report from transport consultants, Vectare, and are working through their recommendations in detail in order to decide what changes are best to take forward for September 2022 and the future.

The aim of the review is to optimise the services we provide for families and where possible improve routes and journey times.

We hope to be in a position to share this information with families shortly, along with timings of when bookings will open.

We are delighted to welcome Chella Franklin as Academic System Co-ordinator.

Chella read Engineering at university and spent nine years as an Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy and two years as an Engineering Consultant before taking a career break to raise her family.

She returned to work when her youngest started school and spent 16 years at Lawrence Sheriff School as the Exams Officer, Cover and Data Manager.

She then returned to Engineering; spending two years working for the Institution of Chemical Engineers collaborating with engineers worldwide.

She is looking forward to becoming a grandmother imminently!

Please note that half a term's notice is required if a pupil no longer needs to use the bus service provided by the school.
