Chloe’s Poem For Kissing It Better

Lisa Challinor, English Teacher and Head of Benet House was so impressed by Year 8, Chloe Potts’ entry into the Leycester House’s Poetry Competition that she just had to share her super work.

Miss Challinor, commented, “Chloe’s poem is so beautiful and I loved reading it, I found it so moving. Chloe is such a superstar, always getting involved in House activities. I really am very proud of her.”

Warwick based care home, Leycester House, joined forces with healthcare charity, Kissing it Better, in a mission to help residents who are currently missing their families. They invited schools across Warwickshire to take part in a poetry competition and entries closed on Monday. The theme for the poetry competition was ‘What happiness means to me.’

Caty Oates, Project Director at Kissing it Better was also amazed by Chloe’s poem saying, “Thank you so much for sending us your wonderful poem. I’ll share this with the residents of Leycester House Care Home, the competition is going to be judged by the members of their poetry society. I know they will really enjoy reading your poem – so well done!”
