The Flagpole

This week some of our Winter Sports Awards Winners were finally presented with their trophies. The recipients had been announced back in April, in a virtual ceremony that celebrated the September 2019 to March 2020 sporting season and included a special surprise guest appearance by, a sporting global superstar, English international cricketer Ben Stokes.

On Monday Alice Whittaker and Jamie Smith received the Junior Sports Girl and Junior Sports Boy of the Year awards, recognising their all-round ability and commitment to College sport. Then on Tuesday is was the turn of last year’s U13A Rugby team. Their spirited and determined performances had earned them the title of Boys Sports Team Of The Year. 

Playing in the team were: Matty Thomas, Joel Nicoll, Jamie Phillips, Vincent McNevin, Ben Smith, Isaac Fountaine, Sebastian Bainbridge, Sam Verity, Ollie Farquharson, Lachlan Greig, Luke Foster, Dylan Hopkins, Ethan Capelett, Oscar Tebbatt, Luca Smith, Edward Grindal, Giorgio Kleinmann, Ben Rose and Alexander Beck.

Congratulations to all the award winners.
