Firstly, we would like to thank you for your support following the recent introduction of LLD (Low Level Disruption) notifications; this is greatly appreciated. As you will be aware these were instituted to help minimise any small disruption which of course impacts pupils’ learning, success and wellbeing.
In response to parent and pupil feedback we are going to change the language used and move from Low Level Disruption (LLD) to Low Level Concern (LLC). The change is to ensure that all concerns raised both in and out of lessons that affect your child’s wellbeing and academic success, can be recorded and communicated through the one system.
You will also have noticed that we are now communicating the pupil rewards and merits through a similar system. The change has come about as a result of a request through the Pupil Council. Merits are now also being recorded electronically, and each merit will be recorded by staff will be communicated home. We will track merits through the school system and once a pupil achieves 50 they will receive a rewards postcard home and a voucher to spend.
Sadly, the wording of the notification of both the rewards and conduct emails, which is not ideal, is currently fixed by our iSAMS provider. We are working closely with them to allow us to improve the wording of these emails.
