Winter Bugs

As you are aware we are now in flu season, typically at this time of year we also see tummy bugs on the increase which can be very contagious.

Symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting can be unpleasant and distressing, but shouldn’t last for more than a couple of days.

Adults and children with diarrhoea should avoid visiting GP surgeries or hospitals to prevent the further spread of the virus. The Norovirus in particular has a big impact on the NHS at this time of year.

Good hand hygiene can also limit the spread of infection.

If your child should become affected please ensure they are kept out of school for 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea to stop the spread of infection.

Please let the attendance line know by using the usual number 01926 634260 or email attendance@princethorpe.co.uk.
