Lower Sixth Form Induction Day - Reminder

Friday 31 August 2018, 8.30am - 3.20pm

Lower Sixth Form induction day will take place on Friday 31 August and all Lower Sixth are expected to attend.

Students and staff gather in the Sixth Form Atrium at 8.30am for tea or coffee and the day will continue with introductions by staff and presentations by Sixth Form Prefects.

Our new Lower Sixth will get to know their tutor, who will play such an important role over the coming months. Students will have talks on independent learning and time management, complete assessments and receive their timetables. There will be the opportunity to discuss option choices with me.  A lunch will be provided in the Sixth Form Refectory.

We are looking forward to participating in games and group activities too, designed to help our tutor groups bond and to make our new Lower Sixth feel very welcome.

The afternoon finishes at 3.20pm and at 3.30pm there will be tea and cake in the Sixth Form Atrium for students new to Princethorpe and their parents, providing the opportunity to discuss any queries which may have arisen.

Please be aware that my team and I will be in school on GCSE results day, Thursday 24 August, Friday 25 August and the week following, should you wish to discuss your GCSE results and A-level option choices.

Dress code for the day is casual.

Sixth Form Dress Code

We would like to remind Sixth Form students that high standards of personal appearance and presentation are expected of them at all times. Our Sixth Formers are the main ambassadors of the College and role models for the lower school pupils.

Please click here to download a copy of the dress code. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of items you purchase during the summer, please retain receipts and consult myself, Mrs Harrison or Mrs Allen before you wear them.

Please pay close attention to the sanctions which will be incurred if you do not adhere to the dress code.
